GKR FAMILY

Gist Kinsman Ranch is our ranch name for a very specific reason! Gist is our family name and Kinsman was taken from The book of Ruth in The Holy Bible. Ruth referred to her distant relative and a wealthy Jewish leader Boaz as her Kinsman Redeemer, as Boaz was a righteous man and saved Ruth physically, financially and spiritually after the untimely death of her husband. Boaz was a foreshadowing of the coming of The Christ - The son of God who was to redeem us all from sin. As gentiles we were grafted into this family of God and believers are considered Kinsman (family) in Christ Jesus.

So, the name Gist Kinsman Ranch (The Gist Family Ranch) gives us an opportunity to share the stories of Christ and also symbolizes the vision that this ranch has always been dedicated to... A beautiful, safe and family orientated destination of refuge for all of our guests and families, in Christ Jesus!
